Geostationary satellites hang in one spot over the Earth. GOES does this to forecast weather, and the GOES 9 satellite covers the Western Hemisphere. There are buttons for other satellite views, and short video loops. Very good basic site with many links, you can start to get a handle on meather prediction from it, when you use it with a site such as WUNDERGROUND (Weather Underground). More...
